Peter Jackson Is Circling the Hobbit Hole

?That… that came out dirtier than I intended. Suffice to say that apparently Peter Jackson has decided to film the two director-less Hobbit prequels himself, and is currently negotiating his contract with New Line and MGM. Obviously, nothing’s been signed yet, so don’t believe the millions of nerd sites that have already announced that Jackson IZ DEFINITLEY RETURNING, and recall, the Hobbit movies have had a director before and still not gotten made for years, so even if the contract is worked out, there’s no guarantee the movies will actually get made. Still, if you want to recreate the Rivendell scene in Fellowship and jump on the bed with an old man and a quartet of midgets in joy, now’s as good a time as any. (Via Deadline)
