What Is a Man? A Miserable Little Pile of Blocks
Man, when Konami said they were going to make a Castlevania puzzle RPG game, they really meant it. I guess I was expecting just a Castlevania-themed Super Puzzle Fighter, but Encore of the Night has HP, spells, all the boss monsters from Symphony of the Night — everything. And this trailer says it has 20 hours of puzzle-fighting gameplay, which is like 12 hours too long even if you really love Castlevania and puzzle games. Still, the original SotN is so perfect a videogame that I have little doubt I’ll be buying this anyway, just because it has Symphony of the Night in the title. Hell, I’d probably buy a SotN cooking game if Konami made one.
