I Can’t Decide Whether to Let Let Me In In or Not
Let Me In, of course, being the American remake of the shockingly fantastic Swedish vampire movie Let the Right One In. In all honesty, the original was one of my favorite movies of the last few years, incredibly paced and incredibly tense, and an American version — especially one directed by the guy who did Cloverfield — didn’t sound like it could match the original, let alone improve upon it. But then the trailer for Let Me In came out, shown above, and… and… I don’t know. It feels different — a bit more visceral, but still tense and moody and dark — and Chloe Moretz seems like perfect casting for Abby, or whatever they’re calling her in this version. I feel weird saying this, as a nerd, but I might just give it a chance. (Via /Film)
