SDCC Videogame Trifecta: Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, Metroid: Other M, DC Universe Online
? The fourth dimension of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions has been revealed, and it’s the Ultimate universe… but where Peter Parker is wearing his black symbiote outfit. It doesn’t look as unique as Noir or 2099, but he’ll be fighting Ultimate Carnage and Ultimate Deadpool there, so that’s… something, I guess. I’m not gonna lie, the other two videos after the jump are much cooler.
? Finally, some real Metroid: Other M gameplay. Verdict: Graphics = great. Gameplay = fine. Voice acting = rough, at least for the emotionless woman voicing Samus. Abundant overuse of narration = just fucking horrible. I’ll give it a bit of a pass since it’s clearly the beginning of the game, which is more likely to full of exposition, but errgh.
? Would you like to see six minutes of an awesome post-apocalyptic throwdown between the DC heroes and villains where many many many of them die? Let me answer for you: FUCK YES YOU DO. This is the intro to the DC MMORPG, and holy shit it’s amazing. I don’t even care about the game, I just want to watch more of this. The designs are awesome; I hope that DC Direct makes some figures of ’em (I imagine odds are decent that they will). I could go on about how awesome this video is, but I’d rather just watch it again.
