Rock Band 3 Just Took My $60 (Possibly $130)

rb3_band_screen.jpg

?Well, fuck. I don’t even have $60, let alone $130, so the fact that I’m now required to buy Rock Band 3 when it comes out is actually kind of a problem for me. Why? Mostly because Harmonix announced the official set list today, but also because of its features. I’ll post the songs and some comments after the jump — it’s really long — but I can tell you that the features include the keyboard instrument, three-part vocals (which means up to six players at one time!), a better music library system, a party mode (perfect since I usually play with friends while drinking), and more. And I’m actually kind of excited to try and learn to actually play a keyboard, especially since Harmonix has been cool enough to release a game/keyboard only pack for $130 if you don’t want to rebuy the other instruments (not all companies would be so kind). But really, it’s the music — check out the massive full set list on the next page!

I have to tell you honestly, of the $60 game, I’m really paying $30 for “Portion for Foxes,” $15 for “Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots Pt. 1,” $10 for “Space Oddity,” and $5 for both “Walk of Life” and “Power of Love.” Harmonix could literally have sold me a disc with those five songs on it and I would have paid $60. How does it break down for you guys? (Via 411Mania)
