DVD Day: September 14th, 2010
? The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
I’d entirely forgotten this movie existed. I don’t know if that says more about me or the movie.
? The Big Bang Theory: The Complete 3rd Season
I don’t understand BBT‘s popularity. I don’t hate the show, I just don’t enjoy and am confused why people seem to love it. Ah well.
? Glee: The Complete First Season
I’d put the Glee kids more on the geek side as opposed to us nerds, but certainly enough of us have had band/orchestra/choir trauma to relate.
? Fringe: The Complete Second Season
The season where Fringe got pretty damn good and exceedingly weird. I still have no idea how Fox is airing a show which is essentially about two parallel universes fucking with each other; it’s so… so… sci-fi. We should definitely be enjoying it while it lasts.
? Hetalia: Axis Powers: Complete First Season
Imagine if every country in the world was a cute boy who was also a bundle of that country’s stereotypes. That’s Hetalia, and it’s incredibly popular among anime fans. After the apocalypse, I am 100% confident it will form the basis of humanity’s understanding of history.
? The Twilight Zone: Season One
On Blu-ray? Really? The original ’60s show? Huh. Weird.
? Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job Season 4
In Big Bang Theory‘s defense, I get it far, far more than Tim and Eric.
? Return of the Living Dead
On Blu-ray. SEND. MORE. COPS.
? The Black Cauldron: 25th Anniversary Edition
Contains on deleted scene and some crappy game over the previous edition. If you already own it on DVD, I doubt that’s worth upgrading.
? Red Vs. Blue: The Recollection
Season 6, 7 and 8, plus two miniseries. Odd.
? Starcrash
A cheap-o 1978 sci-fi flick with David Hasslehoff in it, apparently. Presented by Roger Corman, of course.
? It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
This isn’t nerdy, but 1) since you guys always bitch when I don’t include it, and 2) it is the funniest show on TV, here ya go. Note that season 6 starts on Thursday night.
