Somebody Is the New DC Editor-in-Chief

That somebody is Bob Harras, who, most notably, was also Marvel Editor-in-Chief from 1995-2000. In fact, Harris was the last EiC Marvel had before Joe Quesada took charge; since then, he’s been running DC’s collections department.

I hadn’t even heard of Bob Harras before I woke up this morning, so I’ll let you comics nerds explain to me whether this is good or bad. I will say this, though — it does seem kind of weird that an ex-Marvel E-i-C is now the DC E-i-C. More importantly, wasn’t Marvel absolutely awful from ’95-00? I’m sure it wasn’t entirely Harris’ fault, and at any rate, he’ll still have to answer to co-publishers Dan Didio and Jim Lee, and I bet Geoff Johns gets to boss him around to, but… hmm. (Via CBR)
