Super Terrific Japanese Thing: Potechinote

Have you ever wished you could make eating potato chips slightly more difficult? Has Takara Tomy get the device for you. Behold the Potechinote, an extremely short claw-thing designed to grab potato chips out of the bag that’s exactly as much work if not slightly more so than just grabbing the fucking chip with your actual hand. Admittedly, your hand doesn’t come with Potechinote’s patented NoBrokenClunchSystem (I’m assuming they probably mean “clutch,” but who knows), which somehow allows the claw to grab said chip without crushing it, but assuming you have basic motor functions, you’re probably safe in that regard. Sadly, while I was making fun of this thing, it dawned on me that it actually would be kind of useful when eating thing like Cheetos, since it would keep your fingers from getting cheese dust on them, and that realization depressed me immensely. Suffice to say, I think I’d take the shame of Cheeto-encrusted fingers over the shame of being caught using a Potechinote. (Via TokyoMango)
