A Smattering of Comics News from NYCC

Whenever there’s a major comic convention, there’s always some comics news announced. Not much, since comic cons are all about movies and TV shows and cartoons and collectibles and anicillary products, but occasionally, some comics news does actually slip through. But in terms of Topless Robot coverage, here’s what I imagine matters — kind of — to you:

? Dark Horse will publish Dr. McNinja. This is a Very Good Thing.

? Marvel’s next X-Men event will be titled Age of X, which might be important if you can keep track of any of the X-Men events anymore, which I can’t. Last I heard they were fighting vampires or something. Of slightly more memorable news, Onslaught will show back up in a one-shot.

? Batman Beyond is getting an ongoing series after the miniseries, if you hadn’t assumed that already.

? IDW is doing some massive zombie storyline that will show up in many of theior titles, including G.I. Joe, Star Trek and Ghostbusters, and which I’m sure 99% of you will find annoying.

And that’s it. Comic Book Resources has a great list of all the announcements, in case you’re interested. Stay tuned for the significantly more interesting toy news next.
