Lego Begins New “Sexual Predator” Ad Campaign

[First: I know I promised the contest results first thing this morning, but I forget I had to resize all the images before I posted and resized all the images (don’t ask). Point is it took longer than I anticipated, because I’m a moron. I’m 80% done with the post itself, for real. It’ll be up next. –R]

Does Lego really need a generic ad campaign? I mean, sure I can see them advertising Bionicle or their Star Wars series or videogames, but do they need to run an ad for Legos themselves? Aren’t they well known enough by this point? Do people need educating about Legos? And if they do, should they have hired an older, creepy, heavily mustachioed dancing man whose portrayed as having the ability to break into anyplace a child is playing? Because all I get from this commercial is “If your child plays with Legos, this mustachioed man can find them. No matter where they are. If you are lucky, he will only take the Legos.” (Via The Daily What)
