There’s a New Marvel EiC, But Quesada Ain’t Going Nowhere

?Big news from Marvel! Axel Alonso (left, barely) was just promoted to Editor-in-Chief of Marvel Entertainment. You might remember this as the job Joe Quesada (center, totally) has had for the last 10 years. But before you start screaming that the witch is dead, Quesada has been promoted to Chief Creative Officer. That means he’s going to be overseeing everything — the comics, the games, the multimedia stuff, whatever — although Alonso will still be the highest ranking dude who works fulltime on the comics.
I honestly don’t know what this means in terms of actual change at Marvel, but I assume some of you are thrilled at Quesada’s departure, some of you are probably horrified at Quesada’s new role, and I have no idea how you feel about Alonso being in charge.
