Powers Pilot Get Powered

?Brian Michael Bendis announced that FX has ordered a pilot for a TV series based on his Powers comic, about two detectives who investigate super-powered crime. No matter your feelings on Bendis’ Marvel superhero work, Powers is generally considered one of his best comics, and FX — having done excellent, thoughtful but still genre shows like Justified, Sons of Anarchy, and more — would not only be a good home for it, but will probably try to do the series right. I haven’t read Powers myself, so I’m not popping champagne at the announcement, but any time a quality comic book has a chance of becoming a quality TV series, I’m rooting for it. Cross your fingers.
