5 Totally Unrelated News Tidbits: Archie, Superman, Rubber, Tron, Super

?? Charlie Sheen’s reign of gnarly terror has finally come to Riverdale. In all honesty, I’m not that surprised. Archie’s been snoozing for over half a century, his losing was inevitable. Also, when Sheen talks about being “bi-winning,” I’m reasonably confident he was talking about nailing both Betty and Veronica exactly. Probably at the same time.

? Diane Lane has been cast as Ma Kent in the Superman reboot. I hope you understand why I didn’t consider this worthy of its own post. Still, if we’re comparing Diane Lane as Ma Kent to Sally Field as Aunt May in the Spidey reboot, I’d say the advantage is Superman‘s. (Via EW)

? There’s a new redband trailer for the killer tire flick Rubber. It’s mostly footage from the first trailer, though it does contain footage of a bunny exploding. Consider yourself advised.

? There’s going to be an album of Daft Punk’s Tron: Legacy soundtrack, remixed by Paul Oakenfold, The Crystal Method, Moby, and pretty much the standard people whenever a major studio releases an official remix album. I’m still buying it, though. (Via /Film)

? There’s a new trailer for James Gunn’s dark superhero comedy Super on Blastr. It looks pretty good, but it’s mostly noteworthy for having a shot of Nathan Fillion dressed up in yellow spandex and a wig. It’s certainly worthy of it’s own post, but it’s 4pm EST on Friday. Fuck it.
