Your 2011 SDCC Awesome Videos You Can’t See Round-Up

?SDCC seemed really… subdued this year. It’s weird to call anything that attracts 150,000 or so nerds subdued, of course, but this year, it didn’t seem like those nerds were running anywhere. I think the biggest problem is that the two biggest nerd movies, Avengers and Dark Knight Rises, where pretty much nowhere to be seen. Yes, Marvel had a large stage with an Avengers logo on it (shown above), and Cap’s new suit, but that’s honestly not a lot for what is arguably the biggest movie of next summer — and The Dark Knight Rises literally had nothing going on at SDCC.

The second biggest problem, in my opinion, is that a weirdly large number of the videos and previews and footage premiered at SDCC haven’t been released to nerd public at large yet. Sure, Hall H hosts 6500 people, but that’s only 4% of the con’s attendees. If you don’t put your damned video on the internet, only the bastards that waited in line seven hours are talking about it. Sure, it’s nice for them, but the real point of SDCC is promotion, not rewarding the nerds most willing to ignore all the other things going on to sit in line. Anyways, here’s a list of the stuff that had footage shown that haven’t surfaced on the internet for general consumption yet:

Okay, I know the Captain America post-credits Avengers tease isn’t an SDCC video per se, but I really want to see a non-bootleg version of it. And while you may scoff that I included the Voltron Force in this list, I actually did see that trailer, and it seriously blew my fucking mind. It was outrageously awesome, no foolin’. Okay, so two things: 1) feel free to add any videos you saw or heard about that you think I should add to the list in the comments, and 2) more importantly, if and when any of you Topless Roboteers see these online please notify me immediately.
