Here’s a new trailer for Clone Wars season 4, debuting on September 16th. First of all, let me remind people that I think the Clone Wars cartoon has improved significantly since its first season. Second, I think a lot of this preview looks pretty badass, especially the Anakin slowly getting more evil parts (I really wish Ahsoka would also turn evil, but somehow I doubt that’s going to happen). But what grates on me is that the big setpiece in this video is of Kit Fisto and the Mon Calamari fighting an underwater battle… something, like a lot of shit in the CG Clone Wars, which was already done totally awesomely in Genndy Tartakovsky’s animated Clone Wars cartoon. Look, I know Lucas hates how good it was, and/or wants to pretend it didn’t exist, but constantly reminding us of how much better it did everything is not the way to go about it. Stop rubbing our faces in its absence.
