Your 2011 Miss Crisis on Infinite Reboots Is…

?See the woman in the top middle? The one who looks like Raven but with a lighter hood? Yeah, it’s not Raven. It’s someone who actually knows what the hell is going on re: the DCnU — maybe the only person — and… you know, I’ll just let Comic Book Resources explain it:

During the race towards the end of the old DCU in
“Flashpoint,” Barry Allen encounters a cosmic female character who
speaks to him as (in a not-so subtle piece of metafiction) characters
from DC’s Vertigo and WildStorm publishing groups were folded into the
main superhero continuity. “You must all stand together. The timelines
must become one again,” she explains.

?Now she’s also shown up tucked away in a crowd scene in Justice League #1 (above), which implies she’s sticking around and is kind of important. Plus:

CBR News has heard from several sources that the
woman will be “Easter Egged” into every single first issue of DC’s New
52 titles, leading to suspicion about a major crossover or
universe-spanning story to come. Reached for comment, a spokesperson for
DC said the publisher could share nothing about the character at this
time.

Okay. This is pretty much the first indication I’ve seen that DC is thinking ahead with the DCnU, and using the massive rebootening to tell one massive, DC universe-wide epic, which is cool. On the other hand, one chick in a hood playing hide-and-seek does not a massive, DC universe-wide epic make. Still, it’s something. All you folks buying DC this month keep a watch out for her and she if she does anything interesting. Also! I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention all the great DCnU coverage my fellow Village Voice compatriots did:
