New U.S. Trailer for Escape from Space New York
In case you had any doubts that the Luc Besson-penned movie Lockout was anything other than an Escape from New York rip-off just set in a space prison instead of a walled-off Manhattan, this new U.S. trailer should set your mind at ease. It’s not even trying to pretend it’s anything else, which I almost find kind of refreshing. And honestly, this new trailer makes it look pretty exciting at that. Hell, I’d much rather watch a rip-off of an awesome John Carpenter movie with a new setting than an unnecessary remake of an awesome John Carpenter movie with the same setting. Makes me feel like the moviemakers gave the tiniest shit, which I always appreciate, don’t you?
