I don’t hate myself enough to watch New Year’s Eve countdown specials; normally I’ll watch something else, flip over to a major network at 11:58, watch the ball drop, and then flip right back. I’ve never watched CNN’s New Year’s Eve countdown, so I had no idea this happened on Saturday night until Comics Alliance posted it:
Yes, the Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark musical’s Green Goblin captured CNN news anchor Anderson Cooper, and did… well, whatever the fuck you want to call the video above. It’s a good thing Spider-Man came to rescue him, although not before Cooper’s dignity took a Gwen Stacy-esque dive off the bridge, metaphorically speaking.
