Vertigo-ing Is the New Swedeing

USA Today‘s Brian Triutt alerted to the above video, and thus the fad of Vertigo-ing movies. Basically, the idea is that Bernard Herrman’s Vertigo score is some fantastic that it works with, if not improves upon, any movie scene it’s inserted into; case in point, the final battle in Star Wars: A New Hope. As a bit of film snob and a douchebag, I approve of this wholeheartedly, although I’d like to see someone try something a bit more difficult than the original Star Wars trilogy. Maybe some kind of Michael Bay film, or possibly January Jones’ scenes as Emma Frost from X-Men: First Class. Hell, if this score could make me think January Jones had some kind of emotion in that movie, it would truly be greatest piece of music ever written. (Via Press Play)
