Marvel Movie News Trifecta: Iron Man 3 Casting, Thor ‘s New Foe, New Spidey Pics

? In the wake of the news that Rubicon‘s James Badge Dale will be playing the villainous Eric Savin/Coldblood in Iron Man 3 comes a bunch more of casting announcements about the flick. First Showing is reporting that Ashley Hamilton has been cast as Firepower, (Hey, Iron Man doesn’t exactly have the A-list villains so cut him some slack). Meanwhile, /Film points out that the always awesome William Sadler will turn up in a as yet unspecified role and Vulture confirms what everyone already suspected: even though Jon Favreau won’t be directing this time around, he will still appear as Happy Hogan. Gutter FTW!

? Variety is reporting that the sublimely named Mads Mikkelsen (seen above in Casino Royale) will be playing a villain in Thor 2. It’s not clear exactly who he’ll be just yet, so feel free to speculate wildly in the comments. And fear not as Tom Hiddleston will return as Loki too. So the character has clearly recovered from his Hulk beatdown.

? Finally, the just-released summer preview issue of Entertainment Weekly has The Amazing Spider-Man on the cover and three new promo stills in the issue — the best of which you see here. I know its supposed to be the Lizard, but I’m still only seeing a Sleestak. (Via Coming Soon)
