Walt Disney World to Open Carbon Freezing Chamber

Okay, this is the best idea Lucas has had in like ever, so I want to recognize it. From May 18th to June 16th, people attending the Star Wars Weekends at Walt Disney World in Orlando have the chance to buy figures of themselves trapped in a block of carbonite. The catch: The people will have call 407-939-8324 to make a reservation first (you can’t just walk in); plus, it’ll cost $100 per figure, and the figure will be 8-inches tall, so whether you tink that’s a better deal than a 3 3/4-inch figure or you’re pissed it’s not in-scale with your other Star Wars figures is up to you.

I personally think it’s an awesome deal, and an awesome idea. If I had any plans to go to Disney World or Florida, I’d easily and happily pay $100 for my own me-in-carbonite figure. Without any hesitation, really. Honestly, I think it’d be a fair price for a 3 3/4-inch figure, too, but I might just be saying that because I’d still pay $100 for it, because then I could have my Boba Fett figure push me-in-carbonite around like space luggage. An 8-inch figure… hmm, I’d have to figure out how to get Topless Kitty involved. Maybe put him in a little Boba Fett costum–OH GOD WHY AM I NOT GOING TO FLORIDA (Via /Film)
