TR Contest: Make a Helpful RPG Table, Part 2

I’ve been in a Dungeons & Dragons mood recently. Maybe it’s because I’m helping judge the t-shirt contest at We Love Fine, or maybe it’s just because I’ve been jonesing to play a tabletop RPG for a while now. I’m not sure. At any rate, when it came time to think of this week’s TR contest, one theme got stuck in my mind: Make a helpful RPG table. This was problematic because I’ve already run this contest.

And then I realized a few things: 1) I ran that contest two years ago, which is a million tyears in internet time. There are tons of new TR readers now. 2) You guys are hilarious and insanely creative, so even if you did enter already you’d have no problem thinking up new entries. 3) It’s late on Friday afternoon, and I really, really want to be done working. So here it is! The first re-run TR contest in my failing memory! As I said last time:

Make up new RPG tablesI A table for STDs contracted from Saucy Tarts? How much of an insufferable asshole an NPC Paladin is likely to be? The chances a bored orc guarding a chest in a 10-by-10 room might be masturbating when the party walks in? As long as you can roll a die and there are more than two options on the table, the choice is yours.

And I know not all of you are D&D players, so I’m opening it up any any RPG past or present — cyberpunk, Rifts, Cthulhu, Marvel, DC, TMNT, whatever. So you can have a table for how a cybernetic hand might malfunction. Or you could have a table for figuring out which machines Donatello “does” on a given evening. also, Any dice can be used for the table as long as they can actually be rolled by dice.

Unlike last time, how about three entries per person — if I’m going to phone in the contest idea, you might as well make me work judging it, right? However, please limit each table to no more than 10 entries, because more would just be insane. The contest ends Monday at 12:01 am EST on June 25th. Have a… (rolls dice) …great weekend!
