Blockade Entertainment will be doing both as computer-animated movies, with Sword being direct-to-DVD, and Ratchet being a theatrical release set for 2015.
I don’t know if that’s an acknowledgement that family movies simply do better, or a realization that a cartoon about a scantily clad redhead beating people up is best enjoyed…huh-huh…in the privacy of one’s own home. Regardless, seems like it has taken longer than it should for the movie industry to realize that animation might be the best way to adapt video games, period. We’ll see.
Anyway, there’s already a teaser for Ratchet & Clank, and it’s pretty good. Check it out after the jump.
