Grumpy Cat Is Getting a Movie Deal – When’s Condescending Wonka Gonna Happen?

Here’s news that will please at least two of my commenters, while possibly making the rest foam at the mouth. No longer content to speak through memes, apparently, the frowny feline also known as Tardar Sauce is getting a movie in which she will talk.

Oh shit. Look at the producer’s resume. Paul Blart, Zookeeper AND Here Comes the Boom. And check out the douchey quote he gave Deadline:

“This started off as a picture of a cat, but rare is an image that evokes that much comedy,” Garner said. “You read all of the memes and the comments, and one is funnier than the next. We think we can build a big family comedy around this character.”
