Signs of the Apocalypse: Mysteriously Rotating Egyptian Mummy Statue

Found 80 years ago in a Mummy’s tomb, this offering to Osiris in a Manchester museum recently began a slow rotation that can be seen via time-lapse video (after the jump). Could the movement just be the result of simple physics?
Nahh. An ancient curse is the only possible answer. I think we need Brendan Fraser to get to the bottom of this. Or Ben Stiller.
Less probable: a la The Phantom Menace, the statue simply spontaneously thought to itself, “I’ll try spinning, that’s a good trick! Whaaaaaoooooohhhh!”
