Hey, remember the Hobbit movies? They’re still happening.
And if they inspire fan projects like this, I won’t mind. Yes, for purists it’s a bit of a cheat that some actual rocks were used, and CG augments things, but the brick effect on the titles is a big plus.
Also, dare I say it…their Smaug actually feels scarier than the “real” one.
