To close out today’s Topless Robot viewing day I thought I’d present this 1974 segment from The Carol Burnett Show featuring Roddy McDowall decked out as Cornelius from the original Planet of the Apes films. As someone who grew up in an era when Kermit the Frog hosted The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, I have a real affinity for these sort of bizarro TV crossovers.
