Lego Ghostbusters and Ecto-1 Are a Go!

Via Cuusoo submissions, Brent Waller’s 30th anniversary design for the Ecto-1 and minifigs has been approved and is currently in production. The only downside of the news is that he also pitched a full-on firehouse playset, and that’s not going to be part of the deal.

Now that we’ll have Lego versions of two of 1984’s three biggest movies, somebody needs to work on the third. So what would be a good Gremlins set to make?

Check out the Ghostbusters announcement video below. It beat out a Wizard of Oz set…because Lego already HAS a brain! Ooooh BURN!
