TV Trailer Trifecta: Medieval Musical, Substitute Statham and Will (Forte) Power

Who knows if any of these will last past a season, but at least some of the upcoming shows appear to be worth a look. First up, we have Galavant, a Monty Python-by-way-of-Glee musical comedy, set in medieval times, and featuring Vinnie Jones (whom I can’t wait to see attempting to belt out a tune).

Speaking of bald, angry Englishmen, Jason Statham’s role as The Transporter has been taken over by Chris Vance, who plays him with a full head of hair and a more blatant English accent than the Stath’s “is-he-or-isn’t-he trying to sound American?” The ludicrous action seems intact, at least.

Finally, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who have earned my faith in anything they want to do for the foreseeable future, give us a comedic TV take on the classic sci-fi The Last Man on Earth, replacing Vincent Price with…Will Forte. The Price version was based on I Am Legend and featured vampires; I’m thinking, based on the trailer, that this version…isn’t.
