Rian Johnson to Write and Direct Star Wars: Episodes VIII and IX?

Deadline’s Mike Fleming is reporting that Looper writer/director Rian Johnson will take over the Star Wars franchise after J.J. Abrams tackles Episode VII.
We’ll see whether this story gets confirmed or not, but I don’t have any biting commentary here. I am excited.
