As hard as it may be to believe, the Alien franchise is now 35 years old. To commemorate this milestone, the toy genuises over at NECA will be releasing action figures from the xenomorph saga throughout this year. At Toy Fair, the company released word that they had gotten the license rights of Sigourney Weaver for their Ripley figure — the first time that has happened. (The Funko Re-Action figures are wondrous, but the Ripley in that line isn’t exactly a Weaver doppelganger). This news is exciting enough, but last night NECA unveiled pictures of their massive Alien Queen figure. Available in October, the toy measures 15″ x “30…in other words, it is in scale with the figures in their current Alien and Aliens lines. Additionally, Queenie here has two interchangeable mouths and more than 30 points of articulation. Suggest retail price is $120, but you can get it less than that with some clever Internet sleuthing of the usual big bad toy stores seeking to provide entertainment to the citizens of Earth.
