Avengers: Age of Ultron LEGO Sets Reveal Movie Details

via: brickset

The way movie-based toy lines seem to continually reveal film details must drive studios mad. In this case, a German LEGO catalog has images and descriptions of what are possibly scenes from Avengers: Age of Ultron. And to the victor go the spoils! Or something. The victor being miscommunication between studios and licencees and spoils being minor tidbits about a film we’re all going to see anyway, I guess. Moving on.

Here’s what we got:

Hulkbuster Rescue Mission

Hulkbuster Rescue Mission LEGO Set

This is the biggest reveal here. It’s unlikely that LEGO would name the set “Rescue” if it wasn’t somewhat descriptive of the scene from the film, and probably a key action sequence. So that battle between Iron Man and Hulk in the trailer that has everyone in a tizzy will more likely be the team rescuing Hulk (from Hydra?) but he happens to be a bit out of control. So much for the speculation that Banner is upset with the team and fighting against them for some reason, which was kind of a stupid leap to begin with. He’s clearly punching Stark for fun in that scene.

Burglary at the Hydra Fortress & Duel with Hydra Sets

I’m really not sure if anyone has confirmed Hydra will appear in the film. Given their prevalence in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. it’s hard to imagine them being wiped out prior to May when Age of Ultron premiers. It would have been pretty easy to swap Hydra with Ultron robots or use other scenes from the film for the first wave of official merchandise, so I think it’s safe to say that Hydra will play a significant role in the movie. It’s very possible that the film opens with Hydra missions prior to Geppetto wishing for David Spader to become a real boy.

Lastly, we get another look at Vision, albeit in LEGO form. Still, we haven’t seen much of him yet so this is cool.

The remaining sets are an Avengers Tower battle and Iron Man v Ultron set. The tower is pretty slick but nothing here we didn’t already know about the movie since they announced the title.

Though could there be something to the Iron Drone stealing the scepter? BUM, BUM, BAAAAAAAA….

50 points to whomever makes the best joke in the comments about how it was a German site that posted the images and Marvel can blame the leak on Hydra. Again. Go!
