Jared Leto Joker, Will Smith Deadshot, and Full Suicide Squad Cast Confirmed

After seeing Nightcrawler, I was rooting for Jake Gyllenhaal to take it. But Leto looks like he can play it, no problem.

Will Smith as Deadshot is a bigger surprise. Considering he’s still thought of (not least by himself) as one of the biggest stars in the world, I would have imagined him holding out for an A-lister as his first superhero.

As reported earlier, Margot Robbie will be Harley Quinn. Confirming some rumors, Tom Hardy is Rick Flagg, Jai Courtney is Boomerang, and Cara Delevingne is Enchantress. Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor is expected to cameo, and every famous plus-size black actress you can think of is in consideration for Amanda Waller, with Oprah Winfrey atop the WB wish list (guess they didn’t dig Arrow‘s approach of making Waller young and hot). Can Oprah resist the chance to maybe have a superhero action figure of herself?

Weird that this will be one of the first major DC movies out of the gate. It’s gonna take a deft touch to pull it off; I’m very curious to see how the general public reacts to a Joker movie without Batman in it, without Joker even necessarily being the lead.
