God Damn It, Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer Are Still Making Terrible Parody Movies

I thought we’d seen the last of this hacktacular team when The Starving Games debuted as VOD to almost no fanfare, but alas, they’re back with Car Movie, er, I mean, Super Fast! (The exclamation point is likely to be the ONLY thing it has in common with Airplane! and Top Secret!, and as we all know, they take whatever they can get).
There’s plenty of material in the Fast and Furious franchise for a decent parody, but I have a feeling none of it will appear in this movie. Instead, we’ll probably just get a Kanye West impersonator at the finish line saying “Imma let you finish” and being run over. Or is that funnier than anything they could even write? Scratch that. It’ll have an actress saying “I’m Kim Kardashian!” at the finish line, and she’ll fart, then get run over.
