The original TV cartoons were afraid to make him a comic-accurate African-American for fear of having a black villain, but the movies (which, I should remind you, almost made Shredder white) are now getting that aspect right. However…
He’ll be played by Tyler Perry.
I couldn’t have made that up if I were joke-casting the thing.
On the plus side, this gets us one step closer to my dream scenario of seeing hilarity ensue when Comic-Con has to deal with fans who are there just to see Tyler Perry.
