New DC and CW Atom Spinoff Is Called Legends of Tomorrow

The plot has been revealed, too:
“When heroes alone are not enough…the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?”
So there you have it – Caity Lotz will probably still be Sarah Lance, time-traveling from a period before she died.
With the recent reveals of Rip Hunter and Hawkgirl as part of the team, there’s still one major character we don’t know yet, and the time travel element throws it wide open. Maybe someone from the future?
Meanwhile, on the Marvel side, Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter got renewed…but the Mockingbird spinoff is no longer happening.
