The Bill Murray Christmas Special Trailer Even Makes Michael Cera Funny Again
Since Sofia Coppola’s movies are always about her rich celebrity friends even when they ostensibly “aren’t,” it seems like a decent use of her talents to actually put her famous friends in front of the camera, and riff on everyone’s second-favorite scene in Lost in Translation, namely Bill Murray singing karaoke (Murray singing is also the best thing about the Garfield movie, which I tell you now because you will likely never watch it).
And yeah, Michael Cera used to be funny as the sweet nerdy guy, then he overplayed it; he seems to have evolved into being funny as an asshole, and I for one am down with the transition.
Who knows? Maybe this will become everybody’s second-favorite Bill Murray Christmas movie.
