By now you’ve probably seen the Saturday Night Live spoof which – stop, you’re killin’ me! – makes fun of adult collectors of toys for…get this…not opening their toys, and not being married! I know; it’s hard to believe such edgy satire could make it to network TV.
…until you realize that in 40 seconds, an ACTUAL commercial nailed it better, and skewered collectors harder. And I’m not just saying that because it finally allowed a TV Star Wars nerd to be married and have a kid, yet still be dorky.
