With a new Ninja Turtles series comes new figures – Playmates shows off the new toy line

It was inevitable. Despite how you may feel about Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (#notmyturtles), there’s going to be a new toy line to go along with the show.

I know what you’re thinking. You’re looking at those figures saying to yourself, “I don’t recognize any of those characters. Who the hell are they? What the hell are those kids doing back on my lawn?” and for the most part, I agree with you. Especially about the lawn. You put a lot of work into that. But, if you have kids, get used to seeing a lot of these barely-recognizable reptiles.

Complaints on the source material aside, Playmates seems to have done a pretty decent job on this line. Of course, they couldn’t just stop at figures of the main four, could they?

Of course not! Here’s some sort of two-wheeled shooty-thing for Mikey!

Apparently the Party Wagon is getting a bit of an upgrade.

Thinking that what your wallet was missing was an epic lair playset? Playmates has you covered.

And of course they have a line of backflipping turtles.

In case playing with the figures wasn’t enough, your kids will be able to be their favorite turtle.

Overall, nothing too surprising here. Another Turtles series, another line of toys that touch all the same points as the last line. I’m still holding out on the Mighty Max style playsets to go with the new series. If you’re a die-hard turtle fan, or have a fledgeling turtlemaniac in the home, these are set to hit store shelves on October 1st.
