Indiana Jones is Really Dicking Around with Aliens, Dammit
I’m not going to deny the trailer for Indy 4 is actually pretty cool (that Spielberg really knows how to make a movie-who knew?), but that one shot with the “Roswell, New Mexico” sign just crushes my soul. It looks like all the rumors were right?Lucas really wanted a ’50s, B-movie aliens plot, which Ford and Spielberg argued against but eventually accepted. This will be goofy even by the incredibly lenient standards of the previous Indiana Jones movies. And frankly, I don’t think Spielberg does good alien movies, and I’m not just saying that because E.T. made me wet my pants in fear when I was a child.
