I’m kidding, of course! Japan made coffee from the tears of emotionally unbalanced 14-year-old mecha pilots like a decade ago, when it was released by UCC Coffee. The tiny cans (available in vending machine either hot or cold) were decked out in either Rei or Asuka from Evangelion during the anime’s heyday. But now the cans are back, along with Rei and Asuka, along with a healthy dose of Japan’s current favorite fetish: maids! The catch is that the cans are only available for Japan’s compulsive gamblers/pachinko addicts, as they will only be sold where the popular Evangelion pachinko slots are available. Oh, Rei and Asuka!
