Star Wars Clone Wars Has Cooties

So the biggest deal with Clone Wars is, at least according to Lucasfilm, is the addition of Ahsoka to the Star Wars universe. Ahsoka is
Anakin’s new padawan who seems to be the same race as Shaak Ti, and most importantly, is a girl. The above video shows various Lucasfilm personnel being pleased as punch they’ve created a new strong female character for the Star Wars universe (including the obnoxious director in his obnoxious fedora?just comb your hair over your bald spot like all the other bald people, dude), and I’d be a real dick if I somehow found a way to complain about that. So I won’t.

But I will, however, point out that every Star Wars fan over 10 probably realizes that all the Jedi besides Anakin, Obi-wan and Yoda die in-between RotS and A New Hope, so this new, spunky, brave female character that Lucas has created will be brutally murdered just a few short years after her appearance in Clone Wars. Bonus: Yoda is the one who sends Ahsoka to be Anakin’s padawan, hoping she’ll calm his ass down. This is like sending your kid to be Hitler’s art student in 1930s Germany.

Good job, guys. We’ll all have fun watching her final, war-scarred years, and wondering if it’s the clones she’s fighting with that ends her short life or her teacher.
