A Tiny Christopher Reeve for your Home or Office
It’s kind of insane to think that a popular four-film series of the late ’70s and early ’80s starring the world’s best-known superhero didn’t warrant a toy line, but for whatever reason, the nerd-fates denied any kind of Christopher Reeve as Superman toys or merchandise. DC Direct has finally rectified this with the above 12-inch statue of Reeve as Superman, due in May 2009 and costing $195. One has to wonder if this had been available five years ago, Bryan Singer could have bought hundreds to cover every square inch of surface area in his house, and licked them whenever his passion for the original Superman films became too overwhelming, and maybe he could have gotten it out of his system before making Superman Returns. Unless someone wants to run around the planet so fast they go back in time, I guess we’ll never know. (Via Action-Figure)
