Anime Heals the Wounds of the Russo-Japanese War
Japan has a very selective memory regarding World War II. Generally, they remember just before the atomic bombs hit Nagasaki and Hiroshima, and feeling very upset afterwards?all that attacking they did beforehand? Not so much. So it’s very interesting to see this anime trailer for First Squad, a Russian-Japanese co-production animated by Studio 4C, which is set in WWII, but focusing exclusively Russia’s war with Nazi Germany.
Still, the trailer looks awesome, mostly because the Nazis are using zombie knights (those evil bastards resurrected the Crusaders!), so poor Stalin has to send out the super-powered teenage Russian psychics, as is standard in these kind of situations. God only knows when or where this thing will air, but man, I’d watch me some of this. (Via Japanator)
