Hulk Movie Trifecta: Cap Cameo, Deleted Scene, and Avengers Rumor

Newsarama had a bunch of Hulk movie news, none of which was interesting enough to me to report individually. But the trifecta shall not be denied.

? Apparently the Hulk DVD will have an alternate intro, where Ed Norton as Bruce Banner is running in the arctic, trying to escape his Hulkery. The reason this is noteworthy is because director Louis Leterriererer had annoyingly promised there was a Captain America cameo in the Hulk movie, and there wasn’t?but if there was, it would likely be of a frozen Cap-sicle somewhere in the ice floes. So will the Hulk DVD feature that Cap cameo? Did it ever really exist? I have no fucking clue.

? Here’s a deleted scene from the Hulk movie which will be on the DVD, of Bruce having a boring fireside chat with Betty Ross’ boyfriend, who I’m shocked to learn was Doc Samson. C’mon, Marvel?green hair, long hair, a shirt with a lightning bolt on it?throw me a bone next time.

? The biggest news is the rumor that the foe in the Avengers movie will actually be the Hulk, according to the screenwriters of Iron Man 2. This makes a great deal of sense to me, as the Avengers fought the Hulk in their first issue (despite him being a founding member), and it worked out great for the first half of The Ultimates as well?I don’t know why anyone would change that. But I very much hope that, like The Ultimates, they fight the Hulk in the first half, and fight a real villain in the second. I think it’d be kind of lame if they only fought the Hulk, since it’s not like either of them would actually lose. The Avengers are badass enough to fight real big bad guys?the Hulk would be a great appetizer, but don’t skip the main course.
