Jackass to Remake The Crow

There are many reasons not to re-make cult classic movies. You won’t please the hardcore fans, and chances are you won’t end up with anything better than the original anyways. This is true for The Day the Earth Stood Still, They Live and many others. This is also true for The Crow, along with another reason–it was Brandon Lee’s last film, he was shot and killed during filming, he was taken too young and there’s nothing that a remake is going to do other than tarnish his final legacy.

Yes, that’s what director and noted douchebag Stephen Norrington is doing. He directed Blade and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, so while his Crow remake might be servicable, more likely it will be fucking terrible, and either way it will not be needed or wanted. I wish Norrington would sit down, shut up and go back to his self-imposed LXG exile. And I’m not even that big a Crow fan. (Via /Film)
