Ricardo Montalban, R.I.P.
Damn. Ricardo Montalban died yesterday at the age of 88 of old age. Of course, Montalban is best known for playing Khan in the peak of the venerable Star Trek franchise, but he was also an important part of the Planet of the Apes flicks, was awesome in The Naked Gun, a lover of rich Corinthian leather, and more importantly, he was by all accounts a wonderfully warm, generous man in real life. I think we should all take a moment to go to some highly crowded location today, like a mall or restaurant, and scream “KHAAAAAAAAAAN!” at the top of our lungs in his honor.
