But for the moment, let’s focus on this NBC commercial where the Heroes play football against various NFL legends, because it’s kinds of awesomely indicative of the regular show. ? Parkman does nothing useful or interesting.
? Claire tries to do something useful and fails utterly.
? After refusing to use his power for no good reason, at the very end, Hiro decides to use his power and accomplish something.
? Sylar performs some incredibly silly act we’re supposed to find menacing.
Yep, that’s Heroes in a nutshell. Now, mind you, there was also a commercial where Sylar, Hiro, Parkman and HRG sing “I’m Feelin’ All Right” to each other, but that was too goofy for me to watch without drinking, and I have to stay sober enough to actually start the live-blog tonight. Can we watch a show about flying John Elway instead?
