Mo’ Trek Clips, Mo Optimism

You thought I was going to say “mo’ problems,” weren’t you? Yeah, me too, since today’s clip has young Kirk n’ Scotty being pulled in front of a surly acting captain Spock (yeah, you read that right). I think we all agreed we’re pretty excited about Pegg as Scotty, but he doesn’t much chance to shine in the above video. So the optimism comes into play with Pine, who I think acts appropriately Kirk-like in his self-confidence in front of authority, and Sylar, who I think nails Spock in a way I haven’t seen in any of the previous clips as he recites Starfleet rules one after another… until he gets angry and just sounds like Sylar again. Hey, I’ll take it.
