Japan’s Giant Gundam Is Now a God of Love

Two nerdy Japanese folks — or, at least as likely, one incredibly nerdy Japanese man and one impossibly understanding non-nerdy Japanese woman — got married at the giant, 60-foot Gundam in Odaiba. More fantastic — they were the one couple allowed to have their wedding at the Gundam… out of 500 couples who applied for the honor. The dude is dressed in Amuro Ray’s uniform, while the lady got lucky and wore a regular wedding dress. However, Gundam creator Yoshiyuki Tomino was there, which is pretty much like George Lucas showing up at one of those Star Wars weddings I feature every so often.
